The Long Jawed Orb Weaver measures between 5 to 12mm, and can be brown, silver, black or white in color. The mouthparts of the female are unusually long, the males are slightly shorter, giving them the "Long Jaw" name. They build their webs horizontally in between vegetation, and outstretch their legs across a leaf or branch as they lie in wait.
